Our Foundation

Evolve Security was founded in 2016 by Paul Petefish and Andrew Hamilton with a simple but powerful purpose: to build real-world cybersecurity expertise grounded in how attackers actually operate. The company began by training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through its bootcamp program, now ranked #1 by Forbes for six consecutive years. In 2018, Evolve expanded its focus to become an early leader in continuous penetration testing—moving beyond point-in-time assessments and compliance-driven security. Built by hands-on practitioners, Evolve was designed to deliver actionable insights organizations can use to reduce risk and strengthen defenses.
